Overview An enterprise-wide course built to support the rollout of company-approved AI tools, giving every employee a shared, baseline understanding of how to use AI effectively, ethically, and safely.

The Problem Employees were eager to use AI but didn't understand it well enough to use it responsibly. That gap created real risk — most notably the possibility of exposing sensitive or confidential information — and left adoption uneven across teams. Leadership needed a way to level-set the entire organization before broad AI use expanded further.

Constraints The audience spanned the whole company, from AI-curious beginners to more technical users, so the content had to be accessible without being condescending. It also had to establish trust around a sensitive, fast-moving topic and land quickly enough to get ahead of unmanaged, ad-hoc AI use.

My Role & Process I owned the course end to end. I started by interviewing subject matter experts to pin down exactly what employees needed to know to use AI ethically and protect sensitive data — separating the "must-teach" essentials from the noise. From there I structured the content to bring a mixed-skill audience to a common baseline, applying Adult Learning Theory and Cognitive Load Theory to keep the material approachable and focused on application rather than theory.

The Solution A self-paced e-learning course that establishes a shared vocabulary around AI, walks through responsible-use principles, and makes the risks to sensitive information concrete and memorable. Generalized case studies from different departments were included to show how teams who were already using AI implemented it, then further reinforced the intended learning outcomes.

Results The course gave the organization a single, consistent foundation for AI use, bringing every employee to the same level of understanding ahead of wider rollout.
